We’re live!

The site was ready. We were ready. And we think writers with manuscripts are more than ready! So we took the site live, just this morning. We’re finishing up the details with more publishers and we look forward to adding them to the site very soon.

We’ve built the car. Come on in and kick the tires!

I have a book and lost my publisher (and a very easy to work with editor) due to a company restructuring. Now I am looking for a new publisher. But this is an ecologically friendly landscaping book for homeowners; you have no publisher for me. Shall I write some science fiction fantasy instead? I could easily do it, after trying to get the first book published…heh. No, actually, my real question is=WHEN will you have a broader spectrum of publishers?

Sorry to hear about losing your book deal, but congratulations on writing a book that’s clearly saleable. It may take a publisher with an ecology specialty to appreciate your book, but we do currently have three editors who are interested in seeing “adult/non-fiction/gardening.” Submitting it through Creative Byline may be worth a try.

The answer to your question is yes, we’re working to add new publishers all the time. In fact, we have just signed Orange Avenue/Zest Books (orangeavenue.com), a San Francisco-based publisher of fun, smart, edgy young adult books. Writers who have subscribed to Creative Byline: If you don’t see editors within Creative Byline who are accepting your type of manuscript at the moment, simply select “New Query Package” from your “Overview” page and enter the title and genre. We’ll send you an e-mail alert when an editor looking for your kind of manuscript signs on. (You don’t need to upload the entire query package to get the e-mail alert.)
